For more information about Bridging the Gap, a program that links the alcoholic in treatment to a temporary contact in AA, please visit HMB Bridging the Gap. The District 1 Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) committee provides contact information, speakers, films, literature, & other information to members of the professional community (including doctors, nurses, members of the clergy, lawyers, social workers, union leaders, business managers, etc.). The District 1 Public Information (PI) committee provides information to local newspapers & periodicals; provides contact with local educational facilities for speakers, film, literature, & other information available; & helps organize & set up meetings at schools, libraries & other community facilities.
